Seductress The heart beats Sapphires chiseled from the crimson throb Moments pass in elongated pause Breathe in Lemon peel against the throat Watering each pearl in shiny coat The heart beats Days and nights blend in signature sigh Intonations of candor wink consent in the sky Breathe out Quivered lip of sage, sweet and sour Drawn beyond the slip; bewitching hour The heart beats Of innocuous clouds, spun into silk Fine lines between words and worlds, fastened in strings of milk Revealing in bell curve, the closeness of form and matter Teeth of terra cotta chatter The heart beats, the air heats Now dew upon my eyes, and much to my surprise Before me, sustains as it rains, an insatiable thirst Copyright Kkh 7/13/09 |
