It is a book of life and truth
Of what has been, of fate and spell
Is rarely seen but when in dream
And that is when each word does tell

I lie for hours there and read
My time of bliss and quiet rest
Finding in the pages dream
And special parts I love the best

I wake and feel at ease and free
And find I question less each day
Thankful for the words I read
And wisdom thoughts I take away

This book of words stays on my mind
And somehow to my soul does speak
Explaining things I question most
And helping like a friend when weak

I sleep and pages flicker by
To open where my day did end
The quill with ink awaits my words
And day tomorrow some pretend

The books is me, my words of life
Unpublished; -- in my dreams to read
The pages turn and quill does write
It holds my truth and words of need

Dear Roniece, thank you so much for your lovely words my friend, very much heart felt and appreciated.

Dear Ida, I am so glad it stays on your mind for a while, thank you for the visit my friend and reply.

Dear Linda, that is such a lovely thing to say my friend, I do hope oneday to have my work in a book, would be a fun thing to do, always good to have you visit.

Dear Shel, lovely to have you visit here my friend, it is funny how poetry turns out, you write the verse, with me it just happens and all of a sudden the meaning has taken a turn here or there, it is so often a surprise to me what I read, I think that is why I love to write. Good to see you here, thank you so much for your comment.

To you all my friends, you visits give my day a smile and my pen a joy to write again, till next time may you all stay well and enjoy life.
