The feeling within, gnawing, biting, clawing to escape.
The fear of rejection, pushing, soothing, caging the raging beast.
The battle lines are drawn.

For years a stand off, the outside normal to scrutiny.
As typical and normal as possible to evade suspicion.
Noone guessed.

The occasional wave from within, threatening to capsize my mind.
The emotional winds screaming as they are pushed back out of sight.
Still noone guessed.

But the self built mind wall eroded over time, leaking.
Drop by drop reality passed into my conscious mind and i thought.
I suspected.

Over more wasted years battles were waged and lost.
My mind caged, tries to over ride a life time of rejection.
The walls weakened.

Till with a sudden gasp for air the wall tumbled, fell crashing down.
Blocks of self doubt sent sailing, corrupting my programming.
It's perfectly clear.

My mind suddenly liberated screams in triumph, emotions raging.
Dying to express myself fully, wholly, totally to the world.
But it cannot.

For while the inner walls are gone, rented, destroyed.
the outer society walls that hold us all still stand.
My body screams.

But others have gone before me to assault this wall.
Over time it too leaks a little here and there.
My heart searches.

Be true to yourself and march to the beat of your inner drummer!
You expressed your inner turmoil exceptionally well!
