Bones gets a kick out of
clients that pick him up
and feed him a line of jive.

He can handle those dudes well,
and shake them down
for at least a “C” note every time.

All he has to do is pretend
that he’s swallowing
what they’re dishing out.

That blows their dress up
something fierce,
and he’s got them bagged.

He doesn’t even have
to let them hurt him.

Bobby

I admire Bones's intelligence and cunning in such situations. Although I find it sad that Bones, who is a nice, generally good person, has to suffer through these degradations to get enough money just to have food.

Well, as the story of Bones increases, you can see that the character is developing.
