Two Tin Cans a hot afternoon play simply two tin cans yards length of string one tightly tied to the other each of us around a corner a connection sometimes unclear words spoken in muffled echo conversation back and forth then you say, “did you hear me” in a warm sunny magic moment I put the can to my heart "I'm so hard to handle |

I recall doing that as a child. I was so frustrated because we couldn't get it to work. Aw, we should have put the cans to our hearts instead of our ears! "then you say, “did you hear me” in a warm sunny magic moment I put the can to my heart" ~ I enjoy your way of thinking and your poetry. Linda P.S. I learn something new every day! lol |

This reminds me of my birthday. My friend called me - we have been friends since we were six. Best friends all though high school. We don't talk often now, but when we do - it's like we are still connected by string between two tin cans. Thank you - I am in love with this poem. Alison |

so very glad you put the tincan to your heart in this beautiful piece, my friend, (somehow I just knew you would),as I had just send mine down the string, painting it red in passing, and the words you heard were really, "I am here" - and the pounding in your chest, our hearts, together, as one. j. |
