(Dunblane, Scotland)

The evening sun casts shadows
The sky's a crimson glow
As I gaze across the water
At summits capped with snow

In the gloaming's stillness
I watch the seagulls fly
Quickly homing onwards
Across the brilliant sky

While my gaze is skyward
I hear a close-by sound
For the tell-tall ripples
Show me fish are all around

I watch the haze drift softly
Along the purple hills
While ruby red, the gathering clouds
Reflect the sunset still

The skies are ever changing
As the sun once more descends
Though night may fall, it is not all
For heaven's glory never ends

So soothing, so calming, so lovely, so grand...

I feel like I just took a tranquil-izer! Thanks! I needed that!

Love & Evening Glory,

Linda

P.S. I looked up some sites for you on the Summer Snow clematis and put the links in my reply to you in my last post.

Superb extolment of nature's closing of a day, fair Lassie!

It seems I only felt the thorns,
And so it goes" - Billy Joel

Yo dear Heart2Heart,

This is a good picture of central Scotland, and a fine poem to go with it.

Thanks Yann   This is a picture of where I was born and raised.  I must say I agree with you about the driving, but for me it's the other way around of course
