The weight of all that you have yoked
is much too much for me.

Your grudges (insecurity)
and all your simple jokes

are daggers that are much too blunt
to kill within the Templar's creed.

Ladies? I must leave you be,
let your tongues weave those rag rugs

allow my heart a quiet bleed...

in my room, alone, in peace

watching wavers of the sun
reflect upon the moon in blood.

You asked me to come out and I
am crying now my river's flood
the levees of my lips concede
the brown edges on my teeth

mud --

I bite my wordy tongue...

cluck-cluck-cluck

and coo

from doves

settled in the eaves of us:

You asked me to come out and I
think that I have had enough--

I'm dirty, wordy, full of lust--
don't bruise your knuckles on my door.
You asked me to come out and I
am wondering, "what for"
'cause I don't like me anymore--
a member of the club of bores

pretending that the past is gone
singing songs off-key and hon?

I've read better books than we
have braided all together as
we argue over every piece
as we offer up old jeans

in proof of what we usedta be.

Too tight around the mid-riff and
decades of the toss of love
a coin into the sky in twirl
landing on the edge to roll...

Ladies? I have had enough.

I prefer bare floors and feet,
stomping to the melody
of the woman I am now--
a cow, a crow, a dog, a sow...

The words you use describing me--

are syllables of one

no longer in your keep.

I'm done.

Well that's telling them!!! (as only you can)

Listen, Karen, we change back and forth in physical and emotional state and no one can tell me they have stayed the same their whole life. If they do they are lying/lieing (I never get that one correct).

Have missed you and hope that everything is going better down there.

a few favorite lines:
"I've read better books than we
have braided all together" and :

"landing on the edge to roll...
I prefer bare floors and feet,
stomping to the melody
of the woman I am now--"

you always show such wordpower~~

hugs and love
M

Sometimes I think we just outgrow certain people. It's just that simple, Karen. This is so good and so you.

Ma twin, I had me a bit of cry-fest myself this morning, and after that I said, "I am SO done with trying to please anyone but MOI!"  I wish I was there to give you a        I've had me about enough of the two-faced, plastic world of women's waggling tongues myself, but you sure said it better than I ever could.  This poem should be on a plaque!

The 'I'm done' has fallen from lips as well.
Not the same circumstances, but just saying "I'm done" releases a pressure valve.
Hugging you! (and you too Sharon!)

You have stated so eloquently what many fear to say.  Well done!

To paraphrase lyrics from the Helen Reddy song, "You are woman! ~ and I hear you roar!"
No, you most-assuredly do not belong with those Rag Rugs. Don't they know that you are pip's Serene Highness?!? ~ and should be treated acordingly!

As per usual, there are several quotable and memorable lines!

Sending a warm hug and a 'high-five',

Linda

let em talk my darlin'

they would have to raise themselves to be at your level

and they better watch the rocks they throw
their own house is built on sand

and i fear a new tide is on the way

do you see the moon?

*smile*

I just never pictured this as my life...

I want my place in the Marigny! :wah:

So I guess it's official: Karen's a freak--now watch me give 'em all the one finger salute with instructions to sit and spin!

It's so good to be home. I love you all.

They were merely satellites orbiting round you, using the vitality and brilliance of the star you are!  I hear sometimes those satellites crash and burn.  Too bad.

Another powerful write!

luv ya,

Oh you continue to teach me - Faubourg Marigny

By the time I get there, I am going to know my way around better than you.     It never works when you want to be part of somewhere, or something you never really wanted in the first place.  It's like the feeling you get when going "home", getting off a plane, and being bitten alive by mosquitoes the size of airplanes, then booking your flight back a week earlier, see?  Sorry, only comparison I have for you.

Ils sont la classe inférieure de toute façon, ainsi tenez-vous grand, et souriez.  I love ya!

Carpe' Diem,

karen my darlin
we are all freaks
and i am a charter member
here is to all those...
strong enough
to be ourselves
to color outside lines
set out for
living and loving
unconditionally
seeing things others NEVER see

and sadly miss

unless …
we point it out to them

we the under the wire swimmers
in the current of an ocean in storm
are really the thing afloat

i for one am proud of who I am
and i am proud of who you are too

forever and always

ps
let em talk at least
somewhere
my name is mentioned
giggle

When it comes to witches vs waggers?
I'll choose me a 'witch' first anytime!
Let'em wag 'till their tongues shrivel in their dust-bin mouths.

I'm happy to not be 'normal'
