Ivory keys
Stretch my night
Hiding from sleep
as my fingers dance
~~~andante,
caressing each chord
with passionate delight
Transforming
Carrying me to divine
as a wood cotton
caught in a midnight wind
~
Alone with the moon
. . . a frequent lover
visits
lighting the pages
through a melody, deep
until my soul
surrenders to the song
~~
Mi' Pianissimo, we are one
A musical landscape
Symphony
as we sail away
On a midnight song
What a wonderful poem! Gee Jan, I didn't know you were so close to Jack Nicholson.
"And every time I've held a rose
It seems I only felt the thorns,
And so it goes" - Billy Joel
Awesome rendering of bliss, when music really pierces the skin and floods us with beauty.
Great work.
Love,
I always think that a soft melody played on the old ivories reminds me of moonlight and love, not sure why, anyway getting back to your poem, again Jan you have written a beautiful picture with your words, brilliantly done.
