A very personal poem, such intense moments, as if the air is vibrating in waiting for the answer expected.  I know of no living poet that writes so incredibly compelling about lost love as you do John.  This woman obviously was the love of your life.

Thank you, Katriona. praise from you is like winning the lottery only with a lot less stress. The scene described happened. Reality, for me, is the best source of canvas for painting verse. Which probably explains why I've never considered writing fiction.

And you, you see things that others see but your forte is in the seeing of what others don't see.

Hello Old poet, the poem so true, nobody likes to be idolated or worst too much loved, these experiences are part of life and we must write it in our brains, generally it is the first love and it matters for the rest of life...Thanks for the well illustrated and thoughtful poem.
