How eager you rush
To answer His call
With speed of thought
Your honed Excalibur falls
Morbid blade singing
A death march allegiance
As you zeal to duty
In sterile obedience

I’ve watched you race
Through the jungle
Saw your handiwork
Face to face
Seen mortal bodies
Cut to pieces
Heard death cries
Of souls fleeing flesh

When my fate
You must deliver
Before you wield
Me to sleep
Thankfully yielding
I’ll whisper
Do you weep?
Do you weep?

An incredibly intense write, that brings goosebumps. And what an eloquent picture too.

quote:
when my fate
you must deliver ....
do you weep?

It should never happen ...

Thank you for this highly significant offering.

Love,
Margherita

This hurts to read and makes me weepy.
The high cost of freedom is tragic indeed.

Well said, Bloodline~

Living hell both then and afterwards for those who survived this.  My thoughts today
and always go both to those who have their names on the wall and those who don't. A striking poem Bloodline making a deep impression in my heart.

I'm so grateful to have been spared this.  Indeed a most intense write which leaves the heart heavy.

"Heard death cries
Of souls fleeing flesh"

~ Painfully and vividly graphic. The entire poem grabbed me by the solar plexus and made my heart weep. Excellent write.

Now I think I'll go back and read your skinny dipping poem again...

Love, Light, and World Peace,

EA
