Ah, lads, and lassies, mought I tell-
Some tale o' heaven, mayhap hell?
Of labyrinths both cold and dank-
An' barques that sailed, or some that sank...

Perhaps a tale of warriors bold-
An' their last stands on some far shoal.
Backs to the sea, wi' sword in hand...
They fought an' died to the last man.

O' maidens fair an' villains vile-
An' wolves which ate the new born child?
Or buccaneers wha' sailed the Main-
Their likes will n'er be seen again.

Why, I knew bloody Cap'n Teach-
No port his legend didna reach...
L'Ollanaise, his bloody crew...
O' cutthroats...worst I ever knew!

O' unicorns, and mermaids fair...
I loved their lovely seaweed hair...
Another dram..me voice does fail-
I'd spin another Traveler's Tale.

Your Traveler's Tales remind me of poems and stories my Dad would read as bed time stories.

I didn't think you could top your cowboy poems - maybe you haven't but they are neck and neck in my book.

I think all your poetry should be published with illustrations.  They beg to be read to out loud, shared and woven into dreams.
