Ceramic dogs eternally sit upon the mantle
Lustre prisms dangle in the air
Overstuffed everything with lace pinned on
53 glass birds roost on a table

Victor sits confused
on a fringed stool
playing the piano
bisque babies
covering the top

She wants the right to vote
yet to live
in her feminine world
of velvet curtains and velvet cake

This is great, dear Tina! Can imagine all those things that keep the memory alive of other times, but do not interfere with her emancipated personality.

Love,
Margherita

Acutely observed poem Tina.

But yanno, even fluffy emptyheaded femininity should have a say in how we are governed I think.  Sometimes not knowing the machinations of politics allows a different and fruitful perspective.  Ego, and power and maleness can all too often lead to not being able to see the wood for the trees.  You only have to visit the Alley to see that.

She's from another time, your lady.

This is very descriptive.  I can even smell the moth balls.  Tina, you are among my favorites.  You are a quiet poet but always nail the message.

Love ya,
Alison
