Queries of Nape In those last pounding seconds before the sky gives forth its tears When the full cheeks of clouds, puckered with longing held at bay If the rounded swell of your lips, where the ridge of a grand canyon Would you hover there an endless moment, swallowing the breeze? Pursed to fall with me into the chasm of an endless beginning Might there be music more profound, as to guide our steps Arching energy between the outlines of our outstretched hearts If the spark took race within your blood, shining out through firelight eyes Could you cover as a shadow cloak, the farthest fringes of my destiny? Spread across the moonlit map, drawn out in your reflection Might we be the lilting motion of lashes clearing view as wheat in the sun? Moving hills and streams with delicate power murmured to the wind Could we speak in stories of gold highlights and rosebuds? Perfect in articulation, just as the flower to the bee Turn a sculpted trail in scents of ecstasy These are thoughts that glisten to the softest palpable rain Showering about my mind, the towel dry of once again As lunacy is the language of a kiss, tasted radiant red Just in those pounding seconds when my heart and soul are fed Copyright Kkh 6/29/09 |
