Pleasant Sway of Sunday

Sweltering temps have basted brow
Welcoming the sun too much somehow
Relief is set across the lawns
Bathe kindred cool as summer fawns

My heart is here, aired out and new
Persuaded in these thoughts of you
In wandered kiss, each thought is rapt
About the breeze, familiar mapped

The lilting moist of memory
Upon such gentle reverie
Each sight and sound, take form and song
Across my cheek in fingers long

And still to come, meant side by side
Anticipation's gleeful glide
To tremble fleet the skirted breeze
Deepest hallowed, to my knees

To find the way on air born day
My prayers surround your Sunday sway
