A storm blew through that afternoon
it shook me to my roots.
I shuddered at the windowsill
and thought about what was.
I tried to summon all my strength--
A Herculean effort, stalled.

The storm blew through that afternoon;
the trees appeared to dance.
I looked to see if others saw
the same thing that I had.

Puddles in the street proclaimed
reflection of the sun.
A spectrumed promise of what was,
in faith that all is not undone.

A storm blew through that afternoon,
and I am left, more than I was.

Thank you Ralph, for making the trees dance. You always did have a lovely perspective of things.

"A storm blew through that afternoon,
and I am left, more than I was."

I find that in every day that lives on, I feel that way.

Beautifully done~~

a 'duet' most fine!

[I believe that witnessing any of Nature's phenomena
leaves us more than what we were ... we are all
partners with Gaia in the dance]

sustained applause for this 'penning' !

Great imagery in this poem, I especially liked:

The storm blew through that afternoon;
the trees appeared to dance.
I looked to see if others saw
the same thing that I had.

Fine poesy indeed.

I shuddered at the windowsill
and thought about what was.

This couplet pulls me in - i begin to imagine spirit and world
locked in mortal battle.

On a human plane the wind cleaves its own paths through our lives - while we must sit tight and hold fast!

Not sure if Adagio's only line was the dancing trees?
But two pens have made a poem!

Garrett came by just a few minutes ago and brought me my computer back. But he ran out of here so fast your head would swim.
I'll be out there a little more now!
