Dingle, Ireland

The evening sun slants golden rays
Across the dappled sea
To glint upon the fishing boats
Moored safely by the quay

The gentle lapping of the waves
Against old molo wall
Is echoing the soothing sound
Of tides that ebb and fall

There's seaweed tangled in old rope
On craft that creak and sway
And in the air and on my lips
The taste of salty spray

The flowers close their petalled cups
The breeze is just a sigh
A homing bird in lonesome flight
Lets out a wistful cry

Cliffs stand out in silhouette
Against the fading light
Dusk gives way to subtle shades
Merging into night

Everything is hushed and still
Bathed in the afterglow
Then one by one the stars appear
To gaze on earth below

Now the moon above the trees
Her pale face shyly peeps
Clouds break softly in the sky
The world in silence sleeps

A time to quietly reflect
As I go on my way
When night descends upon the bay
To embrace departing day

This is so beautiful. Both, the picture and the poem. I truly enjoyed it.
