we were slender trees doing things
with the winds that seem preoccupied
with knowing us both at the same time

we were windows without blinds then
with the rain we seemed to combine
and stay stolen from the slighted sky

we were quiet coves at ocean brow too
eyes wide open in attention to attending
to how we fit the sand into our pockets

we were the dark wet stones of river times
rounded were our sides, edgeless dancing
wanting the currents to ruin our positions

but contended with rain whispered love songs

we are empty wells
waiting to be filled
with verse and with
weather, let the rain
begin.......

You stir the heart, and mess up my hair with your changing weather forecasts.

This is my kind of raindance~

I get lost in your words, inhaling the images... not wanting to reach the last lines. So very beautiful!

And this is the poem that whispers pictures and sounds to take me to sleep.  I love how you write - but you know that already.

This reads like a caress from the elements, all together. A dance that your awareness caught in the air somehow and transformed into poetic images to linger upon in delight.

Hello DS:  "rain whispered love songs..." indeed.  Hombre, you do have a way with words, and the earthy images.  Nice road, today, Dark one.
Peace

I clicked here thinking this was simply a poem.  How glad I am to discover it's more than than that - it's an experience.  And a lovely one at that.
