So dark, so beautiful,
So tender it hurts
Got something to give
And there’s no one around again
Just me and these words

Life is a wave carrying us
To the hither shore
There’s only one voice
And it’s the voice of you
Calling from afar

I want to feel without fear
And I want to cry your tears
But I cannot do
Those things without you

What you want is what you get
Be careful how you pray
Because prayers are sometimes answered
And you find yourself longing
For some other day

If wishes were diamonds
Held up to the sky
It would not be the answer
And you would be blinded
By the brilliance of their light

I want to touch with your taste
And I want your time to waste
But I cannot do
Those things without you

~nice job, jerry...

this was very melancholy...your longing very much felt

   If wishes were diamonds
   Held up to the sky
It would not be the answer
   And you would be blinded
By the brilliance of their light

this takes on so much meaning the longer you savor it...

i like it  : )
