He wrote to her of himself in lines on a page
Freed all his emotions from their gilded cage
Took to the air like birds on the wing
Looking for a place to nest in every little thing

She reads the words of her beauty, classic and fair
Fingers brush through her soft and feathered hair
A smile that speaks of beseeching wings of the dove
And soft calls on a day that brings a hint of love

The words cannot explain all there is to know
Of how much he lives to see her glow
All he can offer are symbols and signs
But it all comes out as so many disjointed lines

This is obviously not autobiographical... the lines that flow from your pen are the viennese waltz of words... smooth, elegant and so very beautiful. *S*

To the reader your lines feel perfectly aligned to harmony and love.

But it is true that we always get the feeling of not saying "it" enough well, not succeeding in expressing fully what we actually feel.

But you are doing very well!

Love,

A wonderful poem, my friend.

But within those disjointed lines is the essence of all things.

'Wailing voices on the wind, urging me to turn. Distant tortured screams. Cold blue fires burn'.
