 Artist: J. Hammerle Sol Sistere by Linda L. Dowd  Sol sistere ~ the sun stands still, Drink the ale, eat your fill. The solstice is midsummer's day, When crops are high and children play. Colours sacred, colours true ~ Golden yellow, green and blue. First day of summer, Lilith be, Leap the bonfires fancy-free. Ecstatic dancing to beat of drums, Chants and stories, songs and strums. The Sun King claims sweet Mother Earth, All gather 'round for feast and mirth. They celebrate the whole night long, Then welcome in the sun at dawn. Frolicking Celts in Light of Shore, Sharing magic in days of yore. “We are borne of star dust, and to the stars we shall one day return.” ~ Linda L.
