I like to watch the shadows creep
Across the meadows where cattle sleep
I love the scent of new-shorn hay
That sweetens and softens at close of day

I love to watch the westering sun
As it ripples the clouds when the day is done
When the air is motionless in the trees
Displaying the glory of dusky leaves

I dream my feet on the mellow way
Where the yellow corn and poppies sway
And the dying sun pours crimson gold
On furrows worked since days of old

I adore bright rowans decked in reds
In the scarlet blush of newly weds
When lingering summer stands aside
As autumn claims his golden bride

So beautiful is the earth we tread
Yet ten thousand years have dawned and fled....

Yo dear Heart2Heart,

This is a lovely poem and picture.  Look out for that bull though Hon, he sometimes has a mean streak.

Love Bobby

Dear H2H, thank you for this exquisite write, it brings peace and serenity.

Oh, and the bull will chase red, hence the sun ...

Love,
Margherita
