You were a herring,
red and red and red.

I slipped you
daisy-yellow notes,
and gave you
neon green signs.
You used a fancy purple pen
to write on them smiles and laughs,
and handed them back.

I gave you gold
gold and lavender secrets.
Spent my time dreaming
of beige things to do,
do with you.

You were a herring,
red and red and red.

All you've left me
is a sigh
of your midnight blue.

red and red and red....

I could spend all day trying to interpret this one,  if my head weren't in the clouds.

Very cool and colorful!

Past tense first is an interesting way to be "RED" ....

I did enjoy the spectrum of the piece.

That's the way the wheel turns, ma'am.

Thank you, brown eyes.
