With flouncing ruffles,
silken lace
surrounds my
darling daughter's face.

Her laugh,
untainted ecstasy;
as pure as rain
and just for me.

Her dove-like softness;
glowing eyes,
can clear the cloudy
o'ercast skies

And melt my soul
from head to toes.
I spin her round
and hold her close.

I love her more
than life, it seems.
My darling daughter
of my dreams.

Yo dear UNTAMEDelegance,

This is a very fine poem.  I remember my daughters the same way.
