Forever In Your Heart

Funny how things in life come full circle,
it was sometime ago, around this very month,
maybe years ago, that he appeared here,

I had not been writing or posting as usual,
then a little bit of inspiration hit me,
after viewing the movie Possession,
my heart became inspired to write,

Bringing out the old ink and paper,
words just came, flowed so easily,
The movie, a love story, a rare,
love between two writers,

One from America, the other England,
I just logged on to PIP long enough,
to post my poem, then go to sleep,
feeling I had accomplished my goal,

A day or two later, I logged back on,
there you were, you had replied to my poem,
so I had to research you, lol,
yes you are laughing now, you know me,

Anyway, you emailed me about poems, poetry,
and I longed each and every morning for,
our conversations, my day was happy,
you just didn't know the happiness you gave to me,

Day after day, emails became letters,
letters became phone calls, I cried,
for the very first time out of happiness,
when I received the ecard, "Come Away With ME',

My heart was fluttering, we talked,
we laughed, dreamed, I baked some c-o-ok-ies,
and apple pie, you with the Lorries and I,
laughing so hard I cried,

So often I sit, while having my tea,
I use my English cookbooks with my aprons,
so you are still near me, here with me,
my poems sometimes reflect dreams of you,

This was a wonderful, magical time in my life,
since then, I have never felt the same,
across the universe a shooting star came,
in the month of June on PIP,

He burned deep into my soul,
cutting out the hurt, the pain,
healing my wounds, with love,
sometimes I see that star,

shinning brightly in the night sky,
hoping to catch it again some day,
holding out my hands and never letting
it go, for it is too precious to not hold to,

Now today, as I sit here, in my real world,
typing my thoughts and feelings to you,
for some reason, I had to let you know,
something prompted me to write you,

There is always "The One" and you are mine,
the one, that has came full circle, fate?
serendipity,? you will always have that,
place in my heart, I will always love you!

A beautiful write, from a beautiful lady, to a very lucky person.
Love is a many spendid thing, isn't it.

fine 'real life' tribute write (to 'love'
and a 'loved one')!

[one of this author's best 'pennings'
   in my humble opinion]

sustained applause!!
