I have drunk
the Sauternes
that was in
the cellar

and which
you were undoubtedly
saving
for our anniversary…

I forgive
you now
for eating
my umeboshi.

I enjoyed this immensely.  Would you like a plum as well?

Bill & Owl, thanks for reading. I'm glad you've enjoyed it.

An "umeboshi" is a Japanese salty, dried PLUM.

Oh, giggles that an umeboshi is a dried PLUM!  William Carlos Williams (one of my very, very favourite poets, by the way) would have smiled at that!

How cute! Enjoyed reading this, dear Marc-André. "Don't do onto others what you don't want to be done to you ... !"

Had never heard of umeboshi before. I love plums, but can't imagine them dried and salty. Must look out for them.

Love,
Margherita
