violin highway
strummed by round moon bow
as if her curves are the draw
of a breath then holding longer

before a distant flickering
of candles in windows of lovers
or eyes of the coyotes of metal
that eat glass like grass from meadows

obsolesce oblivion
obsidian asphalt without seams
or just the threshold of tomorrow
holding sound on her brim lip smile

wanting to swallow
without knowing the touch of teeth
from a vanilla sunrise between mountains
as dawn plays her splay as a final ace

that only a one of a kind can ever win
______________

daark (owgish) kanan road down to pch..

How can I not be an addict? *S* I read your words and these cubicle walls fade away... there is no boss, no deadlines... they are lost to wonder(ment).

One of a kind?  You set yourself up for that one.
No one writes like you do, DS~

This is gorgeous, just rough enough around the edges.

Another gem, every stanza a sparkling facet!

How you can take in all these impressions when speed is surely high is amazing. It must be the sense of freedom that brings you this magical inspiration?

Love,
Margherita

Here it is raining, and I find myself on Kanan Dune Rd, heading to the beach to sit the sunset.
DS, the images you conjure up highlight my memories of that winding piece of asphalt, driving topless (the old MG TD) on the way to bury my toes in the sand.

ms midnite..it is a sunspeckled afternoon here..pushing the upper end of 70, the breeze is saltyspit coated even up at the TO end of the road...quite a few bikes out and a few little flirty sports cars with their rags down letting the nearly nudes smiles of the drivers ooze down the asphault..
