Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2009-06-09 07:57 PM

Tear-stained letters,
written with the best words,
filled to impress and express,
hopes and dreams of a future,

Their style, as letters of old,
hand written, signed, stamped,
the art of letter writing,
long forgotten, to be admired,

When holding the past in your hands,
those days were the best of days,
excitement going to the mailbox,
just thinking what it contained.

As I read your words for me,
I would just think of you there,
writing in your room, dark,
enough light to write by,

You were always listening to your music,
as you drew pictures for me,
when you traveled on your bike,
music in the bath, we shared so much.

The whole world stopped,
when you appeared, a dream,
It was if we had time traveled,
lovers long ago, found again,

Your letters are gifts to me,
I treasure the moments,
moments you made me feel so alive,
maybe next time around,

You and I can be together,
just as we were meant to be,
without distance robbing us,
I want you to know,

I still think of you,
when I see a rainbow....

A sweetness and soft sighs
touching the heartstrings
with rainbows of love for
tender memories, as it should be,

another effective 'write'!

and, once again, I am especially fond of the
ending hinting at reincarnated love!:

"maybe next time around...
You and I can be together,
just as we were meant to be,
without distance robbing us,
I want you to know,

I still think of you,
when I see a rainbow..."

[I most assuredly wish someone would 'think
of me' when they see a rainbow!]

for me, that last line is grand-fine 'Romanticism'

applause for this 'penning' !
