I have no second page as yet
I'm still shiny and all polished up
Fewer than a hundred posts have shown
Their faces on my background blue

So newness blooms with no regret
Awaiting replies to follow up
And growth that's sure and steady grown
In forty-five will happen too

For as before and shall yet always be
Where poetry sings and speaks to you and me

A beautiful tribute to the opening of a new forum. *S*

But thinking that I've been around since #1 just makes me feel OLD. LOL

How clever, I have only been here for the opening of 2 new forums.
I feel like I have missed so much, but oh how I try to keep up.

When I get old and tired (retired) I am going to get a highspeed connection and better glasses, and a really big screen so I can read and reply to every thing I see.

Until then,  Welcome #45

Tracey.

I forgot when I first came here, but it's been a long road. Enjoyed this.

Steaven, what a novel idea for a poem! I've been bobbing on these blue seas since #22 ~ and to the 'oldtimers' here since #1, I may still be considered a 'newbie'! lol

I enjoyed your unique perspective on the opening of a new forum! May you be a part of many, many more!

suthern,
thank you for your nice comments...and the reason for that old feeling...well, that one is yours to define...I prefer to think of it as the glories of aging...I guess that would make you #1

Tracey,
so funny...loved your sense of humor (oh, and make that really big glasses)

Kaoro,
...and I do thank you for stopping by and leaving your nice remarks...glad you liked it

Linda,
...now I have a question for you...does that mean you are eternally 22?  Nice gig if you can get it! oh, and thanks for the best wishes...

I think the poetry is singing now, a bit softly maybe - but singing for sure.  I like this poem, Steaven.
