Written for my English 30S independent study, more can be found here: at my doorstep - blog

The outside of my living room window is translucent;
rain’s been falling for days now and all you see
is blurry colours from the life outside.
Childrens shrieks of joy cut through the soft pitter-patter of the drops falling outside and you can’t help but smile at the simplicity of the moment.

Not a worry in the world, living in the now. Children have everything we strive for, nothing anchoring or weighing them down, nothing pulling at their heart. If everyone could look at the world through the eyes of a child, it’d be a beautiful place again.
