the moon,
shines bright out into the night

the air,
cold and crisp

the wind,
blowing calmly through the trees

the ground,
icy yet soft from the new fallen snow

you can hear,
the animals moving through the night

you can see,
the bare trees as you walk through the moon lit forest

you can feel,
the night air upon your face

you can smell,
the wood burning from the near by homes

I'm no poetry mechanic, just an occasionally fortunate amateur who knows wonderful writing when I see it. This is sooooooo awesome!

I understand exactly what you mean. This evokes a most wonderful wintry feel without the icicles dangling from one's nose!
