I've got to run now-
He said to the street
Have some fun now-
With girls I might meet.

Don't know where I'm going-
But it's gonna be good when I get there.
Don't know where I'm going-
He gave his mum a proper scare.

And he followed-
That smoke dark street-
And he followed-
The beat of her feet.

Didn't know where he was going,
But it was gonna be good when he got there.
Didn't know where he was going,
But he packed clean underwear.

Didn't have any money-
Not a penny to his name,
Didn't have any money-
But was sure/ he'd never/ be the same.

Didn't know where he was going,
But it weren't good when he got there.
Didn't know where he was going and
It wasn't bloody fair.

Because he'd heard about gappy's-
On late night MTV,
Said to run away/ and find your thrills for free.
I don't know about you,
But it's not for me-
Never/ listen/ to dreams on TV.

Didn't know where he was going-
And never really got there,
Didn't know where he was going-
But he gave his mum a bloody scare-
Lost his clean underwear-
It wasn't bloody fair-
But that's what you get-
If you really don't care.

So don't listen to the dreamers
They're all full of -
If you listen to the dreamers
You'll wind up lookin' like a tit.

'I feel like an animal, and I don't think that I get it. But one day I'll see you around.'

I really, really liked this. Loved the story and the orderly way it just tells itself. Great writing.
