If This Ship Sinks, I Give In
She’s trying to get her head straight
But this game she’ll never win
She started in the wrong place
So now she’s giving in

Somehow her broken heart
Is still beating through the pain
Like it never mattered
That she slowly grew insane

She didn’t see the warning signs
She just sunk down low
Weighted down by promises
And feelings she couldn’t show

She can’t stop this train
She’s never getting off
There’s a lesson to be learnt
And She’s come too far to stop

There’s too many signs to read them all
To many roads to stumble down
She doesn’t have time to waste
She’s got to leave this town

Believe her when she says
There’s nothing left to say
You’ve been her world for months now
But she’s done with you today

She sailed herself too far out
On a sea of flavoured winds
Got lost up in the promises
Of a love that never wins

There will be no rescue
She will not be found
Her voice a distant memory
She’ll never make a sound

Weightless as she’s carried
Into the rising tide
Her body bruised and broken
She has nothing left to hide

She clutches to the photo
The man who broke her heart
Married with three kids
She should of known it from the start
