In this tight cocoon I’ve built

Hide secrets I cannot tell

Ones that will break your heart

And send my own to hell


In this blanket of denial

I’ve worked so hard to weave

Rest memories of yesterday

Through eyes that were once naïve


I spun the silk to no return

I more than sealed the deal

I threw away my innocence;

now.


I’m on the kill.
