I sold my soul to a sidewalk hobo,
who led me down the path of salvation.
The enlightened one, as he was known,
revealed the world's hidden faces;
One of darkness, burdened with hate,
another of sadness, glazed in gold.
The face of happiness, hidden in shame,
as mankind ignores that which it sold.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;" -Edgar poe
