Here's a story I'm familiar with...

There was a soul with a fire burning
under a flood of sorrow.
Who's tears blind him terribly.
But he learned to look forward to tomorrow

True it wasn't sane of him
But he couldn't help but smile
His answer had been found.
"it would be over in a little while"

"I can make it. If I really try."
His very words; looking past his doubt
Though he shouted to the black clouds
With cheer for he found a way out.

Its odd really
and rare stories have a happy end
But I've found mine
and it started with a friend..
