Once upon a December

In this cold rainy weather
That comes only in December
I ask you baby plead you
Just try to remember

Remember what is was like
To cuddle with someone you love
To feel their breath upon your cheek
Knowing that was enough

Remember the icy touch of skin
Like when your hands where cold
Remember never needing gloves
instead another’s hand to hold

Remember sitting by the fire
Both gazing at the Christmas tree
Remember the magic you always felt
The love that set you free

It was wonderful wasn’t it?
The spirited memory of it all
But can you still remember….
The tragedy, the pain, the fall?

Now I bring you back
Back to reality
Another year gone by
But this time there’s no me

Can you still feel the magic?
Is it just that time of year?
Or could it be the people you spend it with,
The ones that you hold dear?

I want my special time
That blessed Christmas cheer
The love that finds its way through wars
Through doubts and through fears

Do you want the same as I?
Even though it cannot last?
Then let’s go back to when we remember
Remember the beauties of the past

Can you feel the magic now?
Can you still remember?
I love you as I did back then
In that cold rainy December.

that was so wonderful. it caught me by the heart strings and kept a hold major props.
