The chunky milk
At the bottom of my trash bag
Spoke to me.
Said it made it's way
Through folded paper plates,
Greasy napkins,
And a Styrofoam cup
With a hole in the center.

Told me how it passed
Molded cheese
And bones too tiny
For my dogs to chew,

How it took a long time, too.

It called itself fat,
Too thick to pass all the crevices
In between each trash,
It had to leave parts of itself behind.

I almost felt sad
For my milk, two months past
It's expiration date,
Wasted
Next to the coffee grains,
I threw away,

If it were not for the screams
Of it's spoiled smell.

The screams I couldn't understand,
Even as the they grew
Louder!

So I screamed back!

I opened the lid of the big black bin,
"Next time,
I'm dumping you down the drain!"

Bag dropped,
And the smelly screams
started to fade.

Finally, silence,

Until the next day
When the rotten eggs
On the top of my trash bag,
Spoke to me...

VERY insightful... it's like a metaphor... like ur sayin the spoiled milk was forgotten n had to go thorugh so much only to be thrown away, like so many people are today.... absolutely beautiful AND funny! Thick_Goodness sends her humor and appreciation!
