On the spot free verse 2

Hungry fingers writhing about.
Still-light lens offer a glare.
But hunch-back thoughts throw up a snare.

And catch threading words and fish-tackle phrases.
Raises up a razing thunder.

Don't steal my words.
'Cause my left hand holds lightning
and my left eye sees trembling fire-hands.

Don't eat my words.
But doubt them. Test them.
And if then, trust them.

'Cause my right foot leads the way
and my right hand holds trembling fingers
starved for attention
from the left-sided heart still beating.

Pulsing lights and spotlight action.
Fingers sore and the eyes' reaction:

Total thought and totem collapse.
Reason writes and emotion just laughs.

Left-hide and right-thought,
So look both ways, but still walks into a bar
(already drunk)
on the midnight track to winking connect-the-dot
maps.

Lost?
Turn tables upside down could right the map.
So turn out that compass 'cause your morals askew.
I never saw a WELCOME mat so un-true.
