On this slightly cold night,
I lay on the grass and gaze
wide-eyed at the starry sky.
It's so perfect-I almost hate it.
I feel the breeze on my face,
and I shudder at the sudden chill.
It goes throught my whole body,
even my heart thumped an extra beat.
As I look to my side,
all I see is grass.
Someone should be here,
I need someone to hold me.
While I close my eyes,
I imagine a face filled with compassion.
You're close to me,
The warmth of your breath is nice.
I imagine strong hands
to keep me safe from fear.
They're gentle and soft
as they brush against my neck.
But suddenly I open my eyes
in deep anticipation,
only to find that it was all fake.
You're my imaginary companion.
Will you find me soon?
Because I know you're out there.
You're out there looking for me,
so we can feel like one.
Some day we'll have another night just like this one.
Lying on the grass under the stars,
watching them dance in spontanious movements,
and just being together.
everyone's normal [until you get to know them]
