It's been a while. My muse as returned. Maybe. Lullaby Shards of light pierce my skull Drifting on a Thought led lull Milky eyes are pinned to ground Searching for the peace I’ve found Fingers tied behind my back Muscles weep, growing slack Ribs are cracking beneath my skin Stretched across a tear soaked chin Limbs are leaden and fall with grace And salty fragments melt my face Blood is swelling, bursting through Rippling veins and scarlet dew Knotted spine snaps in the breeze Nerve ends screaming, fingers freeze Fists are falling onto each thrust Of broken heart on broken bust And Universe pauses with a sigh Bloodstained fingers stroke my thigh Soothing, seething, seeking me As Soul is laughing, Thoughts just flee Shards of light pierce my skull Drifting on a Thought led lull Splintered smile creeps up from deep As shattered head lies down to sleep. |
