Where the milkman dropped off our milk each day? Where people talked instead of msning? Where we would go out and pick daisies in the meadows? Where good manners were not lost in a sea of technology? Where women, men and children alike treated everyone with respect? Where people respected the elderly?
This is how it is now: People Go to the shops pray that they arenít getting robbed...again. Brb go on msn 2 chat 2 me Go and buy wilting roses at the flower shop Go and punch someone in the face because he looked at me funny. Mug old ladies for their purses. Note~ I am not from the baby boomer (or later) era so this poem was inspired by my grandma and her tales of what she called "the good ol' days".
P.S. I donít think that everything was perfect back then but most people had good intentions.
I didnt mean it like that... I meant how there was 0 roadside killings or terrorists ect ect... it would be a perfect world if the respect from back then could be put in modern times (exculding that bad stuff).... Thanks though.
