Note I wrote this when I was seven; I have only "upgraded" the language so enjoy:

A little girl sits and waits.
Outside the school gates.
What is she waiting for?
Only she knows...
She has a secret smile on her face.
Ha ha, she thinks, I know a secret
My bestest friend told me.

She has bright blue eyes the colour of the ocean in Hawaii,
She has chestnut brown hair,
Six freckles on her cheeks, like a fairy,
A smile that is as bright as the sun.

She is my friend
No one else’s
She loves me
No one else

She is not a person
She is my dreams
My wonderful dreams
She knows what I fear
And steers me away from them
She makes me dream of summer days
Ice creams
Chocolates
Swing sets
And endless holidays

She makes me dream
Of my deepest wishes
Desires

A childhood friend
One that knows me
Childhood innocence
Dreams of being a kid...

Finishing Note~ I wish I never outgrew her. I wish I was Peter Pan and never had to grow old. I will always miss my childhood but everybody needs to grow up sometime... Don’t they?
