I hate that your smile lightens up any room,
I hate that your eyes awake me from gloom.
I hate that your voice brightens up my day,
I hate that your laugh takes my breath away.

I hate that the sun always shines full of life,
I hate that the birds can sing without strife.
I hate that the ocean stays elegantly blue,
I hate that so many things remind me of you.

I hate that my tears fall as swiftly as rain,
I hate that you unknowingly cause me such pain.
I hate that no words can express how I feel,
I hate that this wound has no way to heal.

I hate that I remember your beautiful face,
I hate that your hair flows with such grace.
I hate that your touch sends shivers down my spine,
I hate that I know you will never be mine.

I hate that I fell so deeply in love,
I hate that being near you just isn't enough.
I wish that more people in the world only knew,
That someone exists who is as perfect as you.

This was beautiful.... It had my soul crying out for you!!! I recently went through the same exact thing, although I didn't fall in love... But I totolly get wat ur saying. U hate what he did to you, but you still can't help think of how cute he was, but I at the same time, you never want to see him again because it hurts so much!!! I know EXACTLY where your coming from!!! But I've learned that God made us a certain way for a reason, and that he made the human heart able to heal.... Trust me, you'll get through it. your poetry is one way of helping you get through it, and it is the first step to recovery... and also, I hope to see more of your peoms in the very near future!! Awesome job.

Always,
   Kai (a.k.a. precious pearls)

I've always wondered what it would be like
to write a soulful poem full of hatred.

Welcome to Passions!

Actually, I'm a guy. Yes, guys write poetry too. It isn't that she hurt me the way you said, it's that I fell in love with her and I can't have her because she's out of reach.
