In my sleep, a single image passes my eyes a thousand times.
There stands a girl, with a rose in her hand, beckoning me to her.
The more I stare at her glaring beauty, the more I notice her appearance.
Her eyes, a lilac green, are mesmerizing and bright with hope.
The smile on her face seems to light up the darkness around us.
And now I notice her lovely hands reaching out to grab my own.
But as I try to reach out to her as well, she slips into the shadows.
Thus I awake form my slumber, and from my state of solace.
Yet her hold on my heart doesn't waiver in the slightest,
As I count the hours till I can meet with her once more.
"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;" -Edgar All
