this poem isnt supposed to be deep or complex. i wanted it to be simple and sweet which i hope i accomplished.

i
m sitting in this room
with nothing else to do
but to look down at the bracelet,
I got from you.

you gave it to me the day you left
you promised you wouldnt be long
i smiled as you went
and i began to sing this sad love song

it reminds me of the swing
and how we would fly
you would hold my hand
and wait until i smile and sigh

it kills me not to remeber your voice
or how you would smile
please just come back
and stay with me for a while

so im sitting in this room
with nothing else to do
but look down at this bracelet
and think of you
