A lonely sandal
Upon a shore
No pair to belong with
No one to care
Just a lonely sandal
Upon the shore
No one wants
To have to explain
Such an odd misfit

Years passed by
And the sandal remained
Then one day came a little girl
Saying "I've just the place"
She took the sandal
And made him a home
To call his very own

A lonely little girl
Sent to save the sandal
Just when he'd lost hope
Of this cruel joke

The number one thing in acting is honesty: If you can fake that you've got it made.

You know this reminded of a time so long ago that I found an old boot on the the side of the road by the train tracks by my Gramma's house.  It was worn, and had holes in the sole that had been mended obviously many times.  I took that old boot home, cleaned it up - varnished it with good boat varnish, and used it for a planter.  I knew it had a story to tell as it had obviously fallen from a boxcar at one time or other.

I loved your story, it is these types of poems that tell of life as we know it.  Well done!

Carpe' Diem,
Mysteria
