Time goes by
And the hurt begins to fade
You grow up fast
When you don't have a mother anymore
Trivial things don't matter as much
You start living right
Trying to prove
You deserved her love
Trying to hide
The pain you feel
When special moments come
And she's not there
Playing happy
Sometimes you feel like
Everyone sees right through it
But no one cares enough to ask
You try to do the unselfish thing
And let her go
But it hurts
And you grow up fast
When you don't have a mother

If your parents never had children, chances are you won't, either.

I like this poem, it seems really deep.  It's not how I grew up, but I like how you shared a little bit of yourself.  I wonder why no one has commented on this poem, because it's really good.  No one has commented on my poem... I think it's because I'm new... Anyway, fantastic poem, keep up the work.

Of course I see through it! what kind of friend would I be if I didn't and didn't try to cheer you up! *smiles playfully* Honestly! *becomes solemn* It's a good thing that you have people who are willing to be there to cheer you on when those special moments come, isn't it. I'll always be there for you, Michi. Make sure you remember that. Awesome poem, though. I loved it's feeling.

Aw  :(  This was sadly beautiful but well written nonetheless.  It is definitely hard growing up with either parent absent but at least you can count on yourself in the end.  Well done <3

Thanks everyone!!! I have been having a really hard time right now and writing and reading all your wonderful comments has helped me a lot

The number one thing in acting is honesty: If you can fake that you've got it made.
