Seeing you sitting there
The hurt in your face
The pain in your words
Only four
You understand
Only too well
Grandma will never be back
I want to take the hurt away
Remove the pain you feel

The tears in your eyes
Saying what your voice never will
You know what happened
Why do you have to be hurt this way

Trying to comfort me
"Auntie it will be okay grandma
Doesn't hurt anymore"
Shouldn't I be the one
comforting you

Your little spirit hurting
Yet you put on your little smile
To help us in the only way you can

If your parents never had children, chances are you won't, either.

Aww! Its always heart wrenching to have someone dear to us pass away. Sorry for your loss by the way.
You should be comforting her I think. little kids shouldn't have to be the one to help everyone else in situations like this.
Good poem though. One of my favorites from you.

sorry for your loss... but thats the way life is...have to learn the hard way

but you have put down your feelings so well... i feel as if i were personally there
I can understand the pain you've been through.

This is great!

I completely understood how you must be feeling with the younger one comforting.. & although they dont get told, strangely they feel it, and will give you a cuddle when you havent even said anything but with a sad look on your face they seem to know something is wrong..

It's strange how it works, but they just know.

Exstremly sorry for your loss. Hope you are ok.
