Softly, gently
urging me to depths
unknown to my
broken perception,
my fragmented window
to the world.
Pure ebony
takes my heart,
tainted my the pain
of the world,
and wraps it in a cloak
of cold, warm
living, dead
rought, gentle
darkness.
That holds me,
embraces my brokenness,
covers the chasms
pierced in my soul,
drawing me deeper
into its pitch black shroud.
Feel myself give in
to the sweet darkness,
the refuge,
sheltering me,
holding me
in encompassing tendrils.
That call to me
whispering beautiful songs,
shaded melodies;
playing part in the
harmoney of my heart,
tugging at the strings
that bind me,
turning the eyes that
ever faced the light
to shadows,
transforming
a shattered soul
into a whole one,
filling the holes and cracks
with the melodies
of black.
Letting go of me
I run away,
never looking back
at the me I left behind.
Run away
into fields of black roses.
They prick me and my blood falls;
dark as night.
Run deeper in the pain,
crimson droplets fall
like rain;
the only color in the pitch.
Running away
from my world.
Running
to my destiny,
my future.
Drenching myself
in ebony.
Running
from light.
Hanging on;
letting go;
giving in;
My darkness calls...

Wow!!! This was hauntingly good. But I think it belongs in Dark poetry. Just my thoughts. Really liked this though!

It would fit well in dark, but it does well here, too.

I enjoyed this write very much
