Singing To Insanity

Sitting on our wooden swing
Singing to the sun
Hand in hand, side by side
Merry with the rum

The leaves whisper niceties
In the creak of our dizzy rage
Raining down with sequins
Watercolours on the page

Hopping to the skip of us
Dancing in the square
Dodging broken glass
Breeze tangled in our hair

We catch the curdled clouds
Chew them in our hands
Slice up the choking moon
Into silver strands

Voices sing forbidden tune
Waltzing through the air
Spangled eyes, ashen skin
Chanting truth or dare

Swallowed into black holes
Minds knotted in disorder
Hearts thrashing in the chaos
As we tease along the border

Of reason and insanity
We’re singing to the sun
Cheek to cheek, hand in hand
Don’t stop until we can.

Awesomeness!!! it flows so nicely

With God I am happy; sadness has no say in my life.

When I see your smile, and I know it’s not for me, that’s when I’ll miss you.
